All for the Kids

With a zeal for our ongoing mission to support our local youth, our community, and the arts, Tailored Talent gathered our team on January 18, 2018, for Cincinnati’s School of Creative and Performing Arts (SCPA) Night of Art and Music.

A K-12 Cincinnati Public School, SCPA offers pre-professional arts training and advanced college preparatory academics. Founded in 1973 as one of the first magnet schools in Cincinnati, SCPA became the first school in the country to combine a full range of arts studies with a complete college-preparatory academic program. Of the approximately 350 arts schools in the United States, SCPA is one of the oldest and has been cited as a model both for racial integration and for arts programs in over 100 cities. The curriculum prepares students for professional careers in creative writing, dance, drama, music, technical theater, and visual art.

Along with gallery viewings of student art, Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist, Dean Z, brought the house down with his boundless energy and youthful exuberance as he accompanied the audience on an eclectic musical journey into the bygone eras of soul, rockabilly, rock ‘n’ roll, pop, and rhythm and blues.

The evening’s successful fundraising proceeds help support the ongoing programs for the 1483 students of SCPA. TT anticipates gathering our team for next year’s SCPA’s Special Event once again featuring Dean Z on Friday, February 22, 2019, helping to support strong community engagement so very vital to SCPA’s mission.
