See how you can get started with and benefit from the program:

Program Requirements

  • All employees are eligible, except for the hiring manager. For example, if you recommend someone that you’ve worked with before to work under your leadership, you would not get a referral bonus due to your direct influence on the hiring process.
  • The new employee must be regular part time (working a minimum of 24 hours per week) or regular full time.
  • Employees making referrals must be active regular part time, full time or co-op/intern at the time of payout.
  • To refer a candidate, employees must send HR a completed referral form when the candidate applies.
  • The hiring supervisor must verify validity of referral.
  • The applicant must select “Employee Referral” on the application where it asks, “How did you hear about us?”

Important: The employee must complete the Employee Referral Form and then submit it to the recruiter who is working on the role, prior to the referral starting at Woolpert.

Our Employee Referral Program not only benefits the business by increasing the caliber of candidates, it puts money in your pocket for helping us find other top-notch recruits.

Payout Schedule

  • The $1000 or $2000 referral payout reward will be paid after the new hire successfully completes ninety days of employment at Woolpert.
  • For projects like FEMA where an employee referral has been made, the employee will receive the employee referral payout bonus upon date of the new hire’s deployment.
  • Eligible employees who have made successful referrals will be entered into a year-end cash or cash-equivalent drawing of $2,000. A successful referral is one where the employee has completed at least ninety days of employment by the end of the calendar year.

Referral forms are available on the intranet under HR>Recruiting, in the administrative areas of all offices and in the Dayton HR department. Please exercise professional judgment when approaching potential candidates and try to avoid making calls at places of employment. LinkedIn messaging is a great resource for exchanges between you and potential referrals. Woolpert encourages the referrals of female, minority, veterans, disabled veterans and handicapped applicants. If you have any questions concerning this program, please contact HR.
